Alot Has Happened since May

So it has been awhile since an update. Much has happened.
This year has not been about  how may species in 2018, but rather focusing on adding species to my Michigan list and visiting locations I have not been to before.
On June 30, 2018, my son David and I did a (very long) day trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Our target was Two-spotted Skipper (Euphyes bimacula). Through internet searching, we had a location that looked promising. After a 5.5 hour drive from Lansing, we arrived at Scott's Marsh just south of Shingeton. We walked around for a good hour and half with no sightings. On our way back to the car we found 2 Two-spotted Skippers. One (a female) was oviposting. Interesting thing about these skippers is that they land near the top of the host plant and then move backwards down the plant. I have never seen this in any other butterfly/skipper.
