Well, it has began.
Being 60+ degrees today, I went to Riverbend Natural Area in Ingham County. In past years I have had Mourning Cloaks flying in the hard wood forest area of the park. Today was no exception.
It took about half an hour before the first Mourning Cloak was seen. As it flew through the woods, an Eastern Comma gave chase. Eventually a second Mourning Cloak and Eastern Comma were seen.
A great way to start the year.
